Configure SNMP notifications

Unisphere supports SNMPv1, SNMPv3, and SNMPv3 with TLS notifications.

About this task

To set up SNMP notifications:

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon.
  2. Select Alerts > Notifications to open the Notifications page.
  3. In the SNMP part of the panel, click Configure.
  4. View the SNMP trap destinations already added. The IP address/host full name, port, SNMP version, and username are displayed for each destination.
  5. Click Add to add an SNMP trap destination.
  6. Enter an IP Address or Host Name.
  7. Enter a port number.
  8. Do one of the following:
    • V1
      • Select the V1 radio button.
      • Click OK.
    • V3
      • Select the V3 radio button.
      • Enter a username.
      • Enter a password and confirm it.
      • Enter a password phrase and confirm it.
      • Click OK.
    • V3 with TLS
      • Select the V3 with TLS radio button.
      • Click DOWNLOAD to download a Storevntd certificate.
      • Click Choose File to select a Server Certificate Authority file.
      • Enter a security name.
      • Click OK.
  9. To verify the SNMP configuration, click Test.
  10. Optional: To edit the SNMP notification configuration, select it and click Edit icon.
  11. Optional: To delete the SNMP notification configuration, select it and click Delete icon.
  12. Click OK.
